Pull-off Strap to Pull-off the Edge of your Razor
Dovo use vegetable-tanned cowhide for their straps. This technique also known as "old tanning", optimally prepares the cowhide for use as a strop. The special thing about this leather is that it has no scarring or bumps and its soft surface is therefore perfect for sharpening razors.
The advantage of a hanging strap is that you can roll it up and store it at home to save space.

Directions of Use
Before shaving with a classic straight razor, you should pull it off. To do this, place your knife with the back and cutting edge on the taut belt and pull it towards your back without applying any pressure. When you get to the end, turn the knife across the back and repeat the process for the other side. After 10-15 rounds, the knife is ready for a smooth shave.
Care
Your high-quality strop is made of naturally tanned leather. So to ensure that it does not dry out, you must not hang up or store the strap in the blazing sun or expose it to the high humidity in a bathroom. Occasional buffing with a leather balm will keep the strop smooth.
