A shaving brush should be allowed to dry with its bristles hanging down after use. This prevents water from collecting in the handle, something that can cause bristle deformation.
The adhesive tape allows you to fix the holder to any surface should you wish to do so.
This model will fit all brushes with M 21mm handles.
